Due to the increasing capacities of modern mountain transport facilities, i.e. cable cars and ski lifts, and the often inadequate capacities of downhill slopes, especially in smaller areas, there is a significant increase in traffic on downhill slopes. This is related to the obligation to comply with general FIS rules for all traffic participants and it is necessary to exercise increased caution and consideration when descending and ascending downhill slopes. Despite this, there is a significant increase in the number of collisions between traffic participants on downhill slopes, which must subsequently be resolved from the perspective of legal liability, as claims for damages are made by insurance companies or other interested parties.
